SciTE 1.76 plus Shell ExtensionDescription:
I am using only 64 bit windows currently, and got to the problem that my favorite text editor SciTE and the shell extension (Open with SciTE) are not available for 64-bit windows. For SciTE itself that is not a problem since the 32-bit version runs fine under XP 64. The problem is that the 32-bit shell extension does not work, it just doesn't show up in the 64 bit explorer. Fortunately the source code of the shell extension by Andre Burgaud is available for download, so i recompiled it for x64. The installer uses Inno Setup and was taken from Bruce Dodsons package and slightly changed to support both 32-bit and 64-bit installations. However, I did take the official SciTE build and not the modified one from Bruce, missing all the extensions he added. As I understand the license(s) the modifications i made to the shell extension and the setup script need not be publicy available. However, the changes that needed to be made are rather minimal. Just write me an email if you want to know something about it. Note that a problem of this package might be that it also installs the 32-bit executable scite.exe into the 64-bit program files directory. I have not seen any problems though. So to sum up what this installer does: It installs SciTE and (optionally) a very usefull shell extension on 32-bit and 64-bit windows. Features:
